I get so many compliments on the faux leather dress that you made for your own collection. From strangers! I have it in brown. I always give them the designer's name. I wear it for important meetings. You should make it for QVC. I also have it in red and black cotton.
I have the Q black faux leather dress that I wear as a coat. And many more pieces.
Love love love the list but in my haste read the last one as "build a peeable look" - turns out on closer read, a peelable look may also be pee-able in that one should never be so gussied that peeing becomes a strategic challenge. Lol. Thanks for all you do 😘
Carla this is a great list and much of this would mirror my own. Gabriel is revered in my own home. Couldn’t quite appreciate the hype of Love Story but possibly it’s because I lived through the romance and was undoubtedly jealous of her 😜
As another poster commented, the faux leather dress (mine in brown) was a great winter hit- I wear it as Trinny demonstrated with a brown turtleneck underneath- fabulous with tall chocolate suede boots.
Keep sharing your passion with it please! A devoted fan!
I, too, count Iris as a piece of my style icon pie. I was fortunate enough to snag a very unique, very vintage, astrology belt from her estate sale last year. It feels too delicate to wear so I need to figure out how to frame it. I think you would love it!
Oh, and try Urea 60% cream on your feet..works wonders! Loving these Substack posts, Carla!
The best career advice I ever received was to throw your education, your hobbies, and a void in the community into a blender and that’s your sweet spot. That’s your convergence of joy and success.
Love your list and agree with most of the items.
