Enjoyed your first post very much, although I'm a bit sad I missed my last chance to nab one of those coats. I was vacillating between two colors and never made a decision before I lost out. Analysis paralysis strikes again!
I have frequently admired your creamy, beautiful complexion (Ivy's too.) Care to drop any product names, must-haves, routines or hints? How about a foundation rec?
I'm also curious to know how you wound up in Dallas of all places, and if you like it. I've lived in the area since 1994 and I think I might get used to it soon.
Funny how we can be soulmates yet have totally different styles. I am not as playful, love stark and stunning. But I am your mother’s age and more into camouflage now. I worked as a buyer and then a designer. I remember my clothes from the age of 5. In the ‘60s when I was in college I spent most summer vacation days at G Street Remnants in Washington DC contemplating which of the gorgeous fabrics to buy and take back to a wonderful seamstress I found in Vienna and make into fabulous clothes. I learned so much from her. My style icon was my grandma whose creativity I still admire. Anyway, you always brighten my day and I love the black and white necklaces you designed and wear them often. Found the perfect earrings from Kenneth since I don’t do pierced ears. Will look for your things on QVC, though I haven’t looked there in at least 25 years. All the best from this admirer!
Hi Carla, thanks for emailing me your content. I think I discovered you and Trinny London at the same time during the Covid years…you two are probably the only good things that came out of that time. As a fellow Canadian from southern Ontario, I’ve enjoyed your references to Canada.
I’m in my late 60s and am known for my creative dressing style. I love colour and believe you can never have too many necklaces, earrings, broaches or scarves. These accoutrements make an outfit unique and stylish as you so creatively show and explain. (Though I love how you wear rings and bracelets I don’t wear either).
I have watched these flamboyant New York women, well into their 70s and 80s, wearing colours and clashing patterns creatively put together and think ‘I want to be like them when I grow up’! 😁 One of them coined a phrase that resonates with me as she sees ‘clothing and dressing as art’! I now understand that I use my clothes as my artistic expression! Watching your videos just enhances my love of art and being creative and gives me oodles of ideas. Thanks for being a bright light and a source of delicious fashion content. 🥰
Look who is here!
